When your pet wakes up what is one thing that you see him or her do before getting to where they want to go? Stretch! This is the same throughout most of the animal kingdom and the reason why one of the more common yoga positions is referred to as Down Dog. Doing this will help to get the joints and soft tissues in your body limbered up and ready to take on the day. It does not require a huge time commitment on your part either. It should take just a couple minutes of some gentle stretching even before your feet hit the floor to get the blood flowing and your internal engines firing.
