3 ways to stay hydrated without drinking

When it comes to your health there are not many things above staying properly hydrated. The easiest and best way to stay hydrated is to drink plenty of water throughout the day. This is especially true when the weather turns hot and humid. Now, what do you do if you do not “like” to drink water? Perhaps eating is your thing and you will find it much easier to do than gulping down those fluid ounces. If you are a parent and have kids at home that you are struggling to keep them drinking water throughout the hot months of summer you may want to try some of these to keep the battles to a minimum. Here is a list of 3 foods that are loaded with water to help keep your hydration level topped off and you in better shape.

  • Watermelon- It is has water in the name so it should be a no-brainer right? Indeed, it is the case. It is made up of about 92% water and can taste delightful on a hot afternoon or after a hard work out.
  • Strawberries- Again these are about 92% water and quite tasty. Additionally, these are rather quick to prepare and your kids will most likely enjoy them as a tasty treat. Summer is the season to head to your local famer stand and pick up a couple boxes to wet your whistle.
  • Cucumbers- So you don’t’ think 92% water is enough of a reason to consume some food to quench your thirst? How about 96%? Your average cucumber is majorly composed of water with some great vitamins and minerals thrown in to boot!
